Prior Knowledge	:	Pupils have knowledge about how animals reproduce. They know that reproducing is to produce the next generation. They have also learnt some examples of animals that reproduce by giving birth or laying eggs.
Teaching and Learning Resources	:	Pictures of various animals and videos of animals taking care of their young.

Stage 1 15 minutes	Keyword: take care Short questions based on the picture: a. What other species can you think of? b. How do you think these animals take care of their eggs and young?	1. Teacher begins the lesson by asking pupils to name the species portrayed in the picture on page 15 of the Textbook. 2. Teacher asks pupils to list out a few other species.. 3. In pairs, teacher asks pupils to list down examples of animals that take care of their eggs and young. 4. Teacher asks pupils to share their findings with the class. 5. While doing this activity, teacher inculcates value of having caring parents. 6. Teacher provides printed resources.	Textbook (pg15)
